Expand Your Business -- Your Channels
"How can you expand your business without creating a lot of additional expense and work? If your business model is easily replicable, you are focused on one line of business, and you are well aware of your target market and its behaviors, you can increase your revenue by expanding the channels through which you reach your customers. When you think of channels, think of a pipe, or a conduit. You are using the pipe to funnel pertinent marketing information directly to an audience that is most interested in buying that which you are selling. For example, if you are making specialty dog apparel, and you have been selling to your local dog boutiques, consider advertising in the American Kennel Club newsletter or journal. What are some other ways that you could distribute your product or your message? Could you use an intermediary or a wholesaler into your business structure to take care of the relationships with your retailers? How would that change your business if you no longer had to worry about getting the right number of customers? Identifying new channels of distribution for your business can quickly propel your business to new heights. © 2008 Sunday Tollefson PHS-049-005187 "
