A great way to make a connection with somebody that you’ve recently just met at may be conference or seminar is to create a personal bond with them and to think about, you know, could I possibly help them.
Often you’re out there trying to meet people for your own personal gain. Could that person possibly introduce me to someone? Could they be a possible customer? Don’t think about that. Think about how you could potentially help them. ‘Cause if you can help them you could eventually help yourself.
If you’re the giving kind of person you’re going to get a lot more return than you ever could possibly give. So if you know somebody, look at their Linked In status. Do you possibly know some other people that they’re trying to do business with. Could you facilitate a relationship or possible introduction?
If you’re the first one to move forward and make that offer, if you’re the first person to make that introduction to a possible customer for them, you’ll have them as a bond and a friendship for the life of that customer.
So do what you can to kind of reach out to people to help them and help yourself in the process.
