Here is the best use of Facebook and social media.
- Use your Facebook likes as a CRM program.
- Smart brands listen to consumer feedback and involve them.
- Activate brand loyalists and make them evangelists.
- Invest in the right way to engage people and you generate earned media.
We’ve been working with the biggest brands in the world. From your P&G’s and your Kraft’s and your Nestle’s and your Ford’s and your Coke’s and here’s what I’ve learned is the best use of Facebook and Social Media today.
First off; use your Facebook likes as a CRM program. Once you’ve developed this people you have been offered the opportunity to speak to them on a regular basis for free. Treat that with respect and they’ll stay fans and be part of the community.
But speaking with them is a two-way conversation. The key things that smart brands do is listen to that consumer feedback, involve them in new packaging, new decisions. Make them feel like that the brands that they love, love them back.
The third thing to do is to take those brand loyalist that have risen up and raised their hand and said I love you. Let them become evangelist and really spread because they’re just one click away from all their friends and two clicks away from all their friends and so on and so on. And you really get a multiplier and that’s really about earned media.
So by investing in the right way to engage people you now have a way to have ongoing earn media that doesn’t cost you a dime.
