The most important thing about courting strategic partners is figuring out who your strategic partners are. What that means is, what partners are going to make the biggest differences to the most important outcomes in your business? Are you trying to sell your buisness? Are you trying to find people that could potentially buy you? Do you need distribution to lots of customers, people that can give you access to lots of folks? Or do you just need someone that can write you a really big check? The most important thing to courting strategic parterns is defining and understanding your strategic goals and then finding out which companies and which people really match the most important things to you.
