Getting Customers: This Has to Be Your #1 Priority
According to the Pareto Principle, 20% of what you do leads to 80% of your results. However, it can be suggested that 1 thing you do leads to 99% of your success when it comes to having your own business.
Main goals for startups
- Getting customers
- Securing capital
- Having a great product or service
Of those three, the single most important component is getting customers. If you can generate demand for your product or service you can always get capital. Keep in mind that just because you can raise capital to launch your business, doesn’t mean it will ever succeed. After all, what good is having your own business if you don’t know how to attract customers?
Give it at least 50% every day
- Having customers and capital will allow you to continually improve your product or service.
- However, a great product or service without customers won’t do you any good.
- If you’re not spending at least 50% of your time every single day toward getting customers, you’re doing something wrong and your business will suffer as a result.
