Yeah, I’m going to share with you what you should do… what you should basically not do during a job interview, and something that you’re really passionate about too ‘cause you don’t want to screw it up.
So make sure that you’re dressed appropriately for the job, whatever industry it is, make sure that you’re really on par and, like, go above and beyond what you need to do to look polished and, you know, that the first thing that people see is what you wear and how you present yourself. So it’s really important to kind of effectively relay that to people. It’s really important.
And the next thing is like make sure that you’re really confident and focused. And when you’re in a job interview, it’s really hard to not be focused because, you know, you’re thinking about these things in your head and you have to really, like, show that you’re confident. Show that you can do the job and be, you know, super focused. And make sure to have, like, eye contact. I think that’s really key. Having a lot of eye contact is, you know, you’re there, you’re present and you’re focused. Those are big.
And you know what? When you’re in a job interview, it’s really important to promote yourself and you know, brag about your accomplishments. That’s a big deal, you know, you’ve gone so far so don’t forget to promote yourself, that’s a big deal and you have to make a positive impression. I think that’s a big one at the end when you’re done, like, make sure that you do something that you can leave a lasting impression. So failing to do that is not going to be good for you in the long run because you want to make sure this person is saying, after you walk out the door, like, we need to hire this person immediately, like, this person will make a difference in our company and you don’t want to, you know, make a mistake of not leaving that impression.
And then make sure that, like, be connected and know what you’re doing for next steps. So, like, follow-up, you know, and really be, like, passionate don’t leave without, like, being… showing your passion and also making sure that you know what next steps are and you know, making it really clear that you’re very interested in the job and you know, don’t… you really want to be there. That’s the key thing. So it’s important to not make those mistakes when you’re getting a job or entering the interview.
