So, the key to getting sales on my websites is attracting traffic from Google. So, the first step in tracking traffic from Google is to do your SEO keyword research. And there are 4 steps that I highly recommend you do when performing your keyword research.

First of all. Use a keyword research tool. Google has one. I believe it's called Google Keyword Suggester. If you simply type into Google, keyword research Google it'll come up number 1 and it's free. So, use that tool to input your keywords. For examples your general site might be about stock photos. So, input stock photos as your keyword into the keyword suggester tool. It will return results for you and those results are gonna be terms that are related to stock photos like free stock photos, car stock photos, tree stock photos, and the whole bunch of other terms that are related in a nice clean table.

Take that table and export those results to a spreadsheet. That's step 2, export.

Step 3, once you've exported those results, sort them in decending order by the most highly queried terms each month to the lowest. Highest at the top, lowest to the bottom.

Finally, step 4. Take the low hanging fruit from that spreadsheet. Now, what I mean by low hanging fruit are each of those results when sorted from highest to lowest will also have a competitive in the score which will tell you how difficult and how competitive that term is, meaning are other people going after it as well. Find a low hanging fruit that's highly queried and begin to go after it if you're in that market. So, there you have it. The 4 steps to killer SEO keyword research.
