Method of Design of Flexible pavements
$1,000.00
$1,000.00
From:
kanhaiya kanhaiya
Document Overview:
Method of design of flexible pavements Overview Indian roads congress has specified the design procedures for flexible pavements based on CBR values. The Pavement designs given in the previous edition IRC: 37-1984 were applicable to design traffic up to only 30 million standard axles (msa). The earlier code is empirical in nature which has limitations regarding applicability and extrapolation. This guideline follows analytical designs and developed new set of designs up to 150 msa in IRC: 37-2001. Scope These guidelines will apply to design of flexible pavements for Expressway, National Highways, State Highways, Major District Roads, and other categories of roads. Flexible pavements are considered to include the pavements which have bituminous surfacing and granular base and sub-base courses conforming to IRC/ MOST standards. These guidelines apply to new pavements. Design criteria The flexible pavements has been modeled as a three layer structure and stresses and strains at critical locations have been computed using the linear elastic model. To give proper consideration to the aspects of performance, the following three types of pavement distress resulting from repeated (cyclic) application of traffic loads are considered: 1. Vertical compressive strain at the top of the sub-grade which can cause sub-grade deformation resulting in permanent deformation at the pavement surface. 2. Horizontal tensile strain or stress at the bottom of the bituminous layer which can cause fracture of the bituminous layer. 3. Pavement deformation within the bituminous layer. While the permanent deformation within the bituminous layer can be controlled by meeting the mix design requirements, thickness of granular and bituminous layers are selected using the analytical design approach so that strains at the critical points are within the allowable limits. For calculating tensile strains at the bottom of the bituminous layer, the stiffness of dense bituminous macada
Concrete Mix Design - DOC
$1,000.00
$1,000.00
From:
kanhaiya kanhaiya
Document Overview:
Concrete Mix Design Introduction The process of selecting suitable ingredients of concrete and determining their relative amounts with the objective of producing a concrete of the required, strength, durability, and workability as economically as possible, is termed the concrete mix design. The proportioning of ingredient of concrete is governed by the required performance of concrete in 2 states, namely the plastic and the hardened states. If the plastic concrete is not workable, it cannot be properly placed and compacted. The property of workability, therefore, becomes of vital importance. The compressive strength of hardened concrete which is generally considered to be an index of its other properties, depends upon many factors, e.g. quality and quantity of cement, water and aggregates; batching and mixing; placing, compaction and curing. The cost of concrete is made up of the cost of materials, plant and labour. The variations in the cost of materials arise from the fact that the cement is several times costly than the aggregate, thus the aim is to produce as lean a mix as possible. From technical point of view the rich mixes may lead to high shrinkage and cracking in the structural concrete, and to evolution of high heat of hydration in mass concrete which may cause cracking. The actual cost of concrete is related to the cost of materials required for producing a minimum mean strength called characteristic strength that is specified by the designer of the structure. This depends on the quality control measures, but there is no doubt that the quality control adds to the cost of concrete. The extent of quality control is often an economic compromise, and depends on the size and type of job. The cost of labour depends on the workability of mix, e.g., a concrete mix of inadequate workability may result in a high cost of labour to obtain a degree of compaction with available equipment. Requirements of concrete mix design The requirements which form the basis o

robot arm mimicking human hand
$40.00
$40.00
From:
Bhavesh Jain
Document Overview:
Robot mimicking is a convenient way to teach the robots the operations they are to perform. Instead of cumbersome programming a human may demonstrate the operation of a robot working in an assembly line, or a physically impaired person may direct a robot to accomplish movements he/she is unable to do such as lifting a heavy object. Also robots may be taught to perform actions such as playing musical instruments (e.g. drums). Another advantage, which may be obtained by robot mimicking, is the direct control of the teaching process. If the human, who is being mimicked, is observing the robot at the same time unwanted or dangerous situations may be avoided by actively changing the movements at that instance. Some of the robot mimicking research was based on mechanical devices such as data gloves, recent advancements in the capabilities of computers and new algorithms developed in the field of computer vision has made a true mimicking system possible, where robots mimic humans by observing them visually. That kind of mimicking is a more natural and humanoid way since human learning from early childhood begins with visually observing other humans and mimicking them. In this thesis, a system capable of visually observing a human’s arm movements and then a robot arm mimicking these movements is proposed.

zigbee based forest monitoring system
$30.00
$30.00
From:
Bhavesh Jain
Document Overview:
Forest monitoring is the investigation of processes and patterns that explain the relationships between living organisms and their environment. To understand this relationship, the effect of various changes in environment on organisms is observed. Most of these observations are made over a period of months. The main problems faced are forest fire, animal poaching, illegal wood cutting and mining. Also there is problem of naxalism in remote forest areas of India. To overcome this problem we use wireless device to monitor the parameters so that we can take certain steps in worst cases or emergency The main scope of this project: Sensor network based on Zigbee. GUI for monitoring and controlling the WSN. Use this project for medium-scale or Large-scale forest monitoring
automated code generation
$30.00
$30.00
From:
Bhavesh Jain
Document Overview:
this report has the complete code. Automated Code Generator will auto-generate the DAO (Data Access Object) layer, the DO (Domain Object) layer and hibernate mapping files (hbm.xml) for the Java developer. The DAO layer will consist of the insert, update, delete and select queries. The queries generated will be in both HQL and SQL. This allows developers the flexibility to select the correct function depending on their needs. The user will have to perform the following steps to generate the three files as mentioned above: Run the Code Generator application. Select the database and provide appropriate credentials. Select a table from the drop down which is populated and click on generate code. Thus in three simple steps which will hardly take a minute, the developer will be able to generate code which could have taken a couple of days to develop and test.
image fusion
$30.00
$30.00
From:
Bhavesh Jain
Document Overview:
The project focuses on image fusion between multi-spectral images and panchromatic images using a wavelet analysis method with good signal processing and image processing traits. A new weighting technique is developed based on wavelet transformation for the fusion of a high spatial resolution image and a low-resolution, multi-spectral image. The method improves a standard wavelet merger for merging the lower frequency components of a multi-spectral image and its high spatial resolution image by means of local deviation rules with weighting average. And then the merged image is reconstructed by an inverse wavelet transform using the fused approximation and details from the high spatial resolution image. Also, a multi-spectral images fusion algorithm is proposed based on wavelet transform characteristic of human vision system. Firstly, perform a wavelet multi-scale transformation of each source image. Then a new fusion regular is presented based on human vision system corresponding high (low) frequency components are divided into several blocks, and contrast error of every block is calculated, an adaptive threshold selection is proposed to decide which should be used to construct the new high (low) frequency components. Finally, the fused image is obtained by taking inverse wavelet transform. The experimental results show that the new method presented is clearly better in not only preserving spectral and improving spatial presentation, but also avoiding mosaic occurring.

Ion Tracks Route to Nanotechnology
$19.99
$19.99
From:
Hardev Singh VIRK
Document Overview:
Ion Track Filters (ITFs) or Track-etched membranes (TEMs) became precursors to development of nanotechnology. These filters were prepared by bombardment of thin polymer foils of Makrofol, Lexan, PVDF or thin sheets of Muscovite mica using heavy ions. Ion track technology offers a broad variety of scientific challenges. The efficacy of the technique has been tested for growth of quantum dots, nano-crystals, nano-needles, flower patterns and nano wires with diameter in the range of 20-200nm. It is planned to fabricate semiconductor nanowires for investigation of electric, magnetic, optical and structural properties for their exploitation in the area of electronics and opto-electronics in the nano-range.
Water safety at Home

From:
kanhaiya kanhaiya
Document Overview:
Water safety at home Contents:- • Water safety at home • How you can help make your home water safe • Swimming pool rules • What if an accident happens? • Dr Kate says • Some kids' stories Water safety at home Every year many young children drown in or around their own homes. Not all of these accidents happen in swimming pools. A small child can drown in quite a small amount of water, in a bucket of water for example. Some children live near creeks while others live on farms where there are dams to hold water for the farm animals. Fishponds or fountains that hold water around them can be dangerous. Ordinary baths in the bathroom can be very unsafe for young children if they are left alone. A laundry tub or kitchen sink full of water isn't out of reach for an adventurous toddler. How you can help make your home water safe If you are old enough to be able to read this then you are old enough to help make your home a water-safe place for young children. • It is the Law that swimming pools in Australia have to have fences around them. o You can help make sure that the gate is kept closed at all times so that little people can't get to the pool by themselves. • Spas need to have hard covers over them when they are not being used. o You can help make sure that the spa cover is on and locked before any little kids go near it. • Fishponds need to have covers over them to stop little kids falling in. o If your pond hasn't got a cover then ask mum or dad if you can help make one. Or maybe even help to fill the pond with dirt or stones until your younger brothers and sisters are big enough to understand the danger and can climb out of the pool by themselves if they slip in. • Baths are lots of fun for little kids to play in and get clean at the same time. It is dangerous for a young child to be in a bath alone. o You can help by making sure that the bath plug can't be reached and put into the plughole by little kid
