The convergence of networking technology and security technology is the next phase in the evolution of the network. Multi-function security and networking devices, such as unified threat managers (UTMs) and branch-office-in-a-box systems (BOBs) are becoming commonplace, replacing traditional routers, firewalls, and specialized appliances.
