Introduction
This PowerPoint presentation is meant to accompany a lecture given on the practical and economic feasibility of expanding BioProduct operations in rural Canada. It was given by a representative of the BioProducts Business Network (BPBN), which is a program run by the Ottawa Life Sciences Council.
About the BPBN and BioProducts
The BPBN is an organization formed to promote and educate local communities about the value of expanding industries dealing in BioProducts. BioProducts are products produced using biomass. In turn, biomass is any renewable material that is available on a renewable or recurring basis.
Other concepts discusses include eco-industrial clusters, which are companies that are linked not only in requirements and operations but also in geographic location.
