About Me


Scott Perlov's interests range from practicing law to writing screenplays. As an aspiring screenwriter for film and television, Scott Perlov takes time from his busy practice to work toward his dream. Prior to this endeavor, Scott Perlov was part of the Law Offices of Allison B. Margolin in Los Angeles, California, serving as an Associate in the well-known criminal defense firm. As an Associate at Weston Benshoof Rochefort Rubalcava & MacCuish LLP, Scott Perlov practiced corporate litigation and facilitated commercial real estate transactions. Prior to that position, he functioned as an Associate for four years at the Los Angeles firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where he represented nonprofit clients as well as Fortune 500 companies. During his tenure, Scott Perlov provided legal advice in the areas of tax, copyright, antitrust and regulatory requirements, bankruptcy, and trademark law. An important aspect of his duties was enabling nonprofit organizations to gain 501(c)(3) status. Before coming to Los Angeles, Scott Perlov acted as a Paralegal for the Washington, D.C., firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he developed a database to monitor information regarding clients' product liability claims settlements. Scott Perlov holds membership in The State Bar of California and the Colorado Bar Association. He also belongs to a host of professional organizations, including the Global Legal Recruitment Network, the Tax Problem Resolution Services Coalition, the Writers Guild of America West, and Save the Cat Screenwriters & Fans. Scott Perlov holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona's Thunderbird School of Global Management. In addition, Mr. Perlov earned a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law and a Master of Laws in Tax Law from the New York University School of Law.
