The editor of OBX Alert is Tony Sylvester, an Outer Banks resident and former three-time Emmy Award winning anchorman at the CBS television station in Washington where he was also White House correspondent for Post-Newsweek Stations and a member of the Board of Governors of the National Press Club. He began his career as a newspaper reporter and after military service free-lanced in Europe. He was subsequently hired by CBS News in Washington and New York; has worked for WSM Radio and TV in Nashville, Tennessee, and also anchored at WFGA-TV, Jacksonville, Florida, and WAVY-TV, Portsmouth, Virginia.
