About me
Producer, director, writer, Johnny Marocco started his professional career in sales and marketing over seventeen years ago. As an artist he gravitated toward selling visual media, starting in print. After a few years he moved on to graphic design, then web and interactive video technology, then finally to television, airtime and global distribution.
Johnny was instrumental in the development of a patented intellectual property that involved shooting a spokesperson in front of a green screen and then converting the 3D image into streaming video code which was inserted over the top of a website. This process allowed individuals to virtually walk out onto a website in near DVD quality video with real time motion. Johnny eventually sold this revolutionary technology to web marketing retailers who have since sold it to thousands of worldwide websites under various names. With a “do not compete” clause from the sale of this technology, Johnny started taking on more challenging video projects and over the last four years he has written, produced and directed scores of great productions. Home and Lifestyle Television (H & L TV), a local Dallas-Fort Worth home improvement and lifestyle magazine show that still airs on ABC, channel 8, WFAA was one series that Johnny produced and assistant directed. The show had only aired once with an audience of only 5,000 before Johnny was hired as producer. After his work writing, selling, producing and assistant directing Home and Lifestyle Television for almost two seasons, the final episode Johnny produced aired on Super Bowl Sunday, 2007, with over 250,000 viewers, achieving twice the audience of The Oprah Winfrey Show in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Among the many things he learned from the experience of producing H & L TV was that guest segments showcasing local luxury businesses received the greatest number of direct responses. This idea inspired Johnny to create the concept for his next project, The Good Life.
Speaking of his current vision for The Good Life TV show Johnny said, “I took the shows I liked that were very successful and wrapped the best attributes of those shows into the TV magazine format of the most successful infomercial show from the 80’s, PM Magazine.“ Over a year’s planning has gone into assuring the success of his upcoming, The Good Life.
Johnny has successfully owned and managed Lasting Productions Inc., a video production company that produces high quality HD corporate sales & training videos, TV commercials, plasma advertising videos, virtual tours, infomercials, TV pilots, music videos, trade show videos, concerts and special events. His production team brings almost eighty combined years of experience to produce exactly the visual media to meet each client’s needs. With an equipment arsenal of six HD television production cameras, six HD P2 field cameras, a jib crane, dolly track, numerous indoor and outdoor lighting packages, a thirty foot box production truck with full on-location audio and video recording, switching and editing capabilities, there is almost no video production job Lasting Productions Inc. cannot handle.
