MVC Architectural Pattern for Enterprise Information System’s Reporting Subsystem in J2EE
Reporting subsystem is a core demand of Enterprise Information Systems. They have the ability to quickly and accurately produce up to date reports. Reports are the need for the company employee, community, investors, other stakeholders or any other person who is related with that enterprise industry. Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture is widely used software design pattern since applications are very large in size these days. More recently, it has become the recommended model for Sun Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE). This paper researches the character of Model-View-Controller architecture for reporting subsystem in Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition and Jasper Reports then proposes the idea of layered model to improve the system’s architecture. In order to reduce the cost of view rendering by a model, build flexible and reusable software architecture.
Framework for Ubiquitous Social Networks
This paper presents a novel framework for ubiquitous social networks (USNs). Instead of making virtual connections, on the basis of human social networks, an effort has been made to facilitate interactions among human social networks with the help of virtual social networks. The imperative domains that support ubiquitous social networks are highlighted and different scenarios are provided to project real world applications of proposed framework. Our proposed framework can provide preliminary foundations for creating “ubiquitous social networks” in true essence.
A Survey of Mobile Augmented Reality Applications
Mobile devices are getting popular as a platform for Augmented Reality (AR) application such as a Smartphone. Mobile AR is mainly available whenever people require an informational support for a focused task. Although the mobile AR application is getting popular, only a limited number of researches are available. This paper in turn presents an overview of potential or current uses of mobile AR application from the first development of mobile AR application in 1997 until now. The objective is to observe the trend and the importance of mobile augmented reality by focusing on sports, games and entertainment, cultural heritage, medical, education and training and marketing/advertising area depended on where it can be applied. Our results then indicate that mobile AR is a potential tool to assist a user in many tasks.
Security Enhancement of Power Systems with Smart Grid Implementation
Smart Grid has become an attractive option for a power system operational strategy due to various technical and economic factors. This paper is basically present about the security enhancement for power system with smart grid concept implementation. The smart grid is a network of computers and power infrastructures that monitor and manage energy usage. Each energy producer maintains operational centers that receive usage information from collector devices placed throughout the served area. One of the smart grid’s most attractive features is its ability to support widespread customer energy generation. Smart Grid design and deployment must take into account the current cyber vulnerabilities in the legacy power grid. In this project, power system with Smart Grid concept implementation is to be simulated by using PowerWorld simulation software. From the developed model for the system, security assessment analysis is performed on the selected test system. The effects when the disturbances occurred have been observed.
Microcontroller Based Water Level Indicator Using GSM Modem: Design And Application
Recent advances in communication technology, made new trends to emerge in monitoring system. The most popular standard for mobile phones in the world is Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM). Because of the used of wireless remote is more in an application, the smart water level indicator is presented. In this paper, we will discuss about the monitoring system to monitor the changes of water level from time to time and directly send an alert to user via GSM cellular network immediately. This paper comprises of three parts, which is the main part comprising the development of the system that capable to detect water level using microcontroller. The microcontroller known as ‘brain’ of the system is responsible of processing network protocol, which comprises of transmitting packets and receiving packets. The second part is the development of the system that can process the data that has been collected based on the deepness of water level. The last part is the system, which modulates the signal that has been collected and it will transmit the modulated signal via the antenna. Then, the signal will be received by the receiver to be displayed on the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Overall, the system designed comprise of hardware design and software development. The project target is to implement as water level warning tool by respective local authorized.
Performance Analysis of Overlapped Motion Compensated Temporal Interpolationusing Open Multiprocessing
Motion Compensation is an essential part of different video compression techniques. Video compression is always required especially for storage and transmission of videos. Motion Compensation is computationally complex and data intensive process. Overlapped Motion Compensated Temporal Interpolation (OMCTI) is a block based approach for the temporal interpolation of skipped frames. It generates interpolated frames with considerably improved quality. In this paper, Open Multiprocessing (OpenMP) based multithreaded solution is proposed to reduce the computation time of Overlapped Motion Compensated Temporal Interpolation. The OpenMP based solution is tested on multi-core processor for evaluation of performance. The paper is concluded with a discussion about the generated experimental results.
