at Brennan & Clark
For more than 30 years, Brennan & Clark has been a leader in the collections industry, pursuing a mission to not only collect debts, but also to provide receivables support solutions tailored to a client’s specific needs in order to eliminate credit loss. Brennan & Clark also functions as a third-party outsourcing agency that assists clients with collection services such as collection calls, fax demands, and letter writing, working on a contingency basis where the company gets paid only when a client gets paid. Michael Brennan, a strategic consultant in the area of receivables management and author of The Real Cost of Doing Business, founded Brennan & Clark in 1980. The company’s current president, Meg Scotty, began her tenure with Brennan & Clark as a consultant in 1987. She worked her way up the ranks to become an Account Executive in 1991, General Manager in 1994, and then President in 2000. Ms. Scotty is a Councilmember of the Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA) and co-created the Certified Collector Program for the CCAA. Working with a team that has been together for 10 years, all of Brennan & Clark’s account executives have been certified by the CCAA. To keep clients fully informed of their progress, all account executives provide clients with detailed monthly reports regarding their claims and recovery, both online and in hard copy. Each representative is also required to meet daily goals, such as making a certain number of calls to debtors, reaching a particular number of parties, and meeting a percentage of successful resolutions amassed during the day. To keep current on industry trends, Brennan & Clark maintains membership in several professional organizations, including the Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA); Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA); International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC); and the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA).
