This is the residual class for fluid material handling, and takesprocesses, systems, combinations, subcombinations and certain elementspertaining thereto not otherwise classified.
Fluid materials include gas and liquids primarily, but the handlingof other flowable materials, as fluent granular solids, is alsofound.
Handling for this class comprises the transfer of fluent materialby flow, as by confining, directing, causing and/or controllingthe flow, and includes making the material available for flow orseparating a smaller from a larger body of fluid material, as bytanks, containers, receivers, traps, etc., or pipes or conduits,with or without siphons, pumps, pressure or displacing fluids or otherflow imparting means.
