Docstoc is currently hiring for the following positions:
The site and related services are developed in ASP.Net (C#) and we are looking for
superstar developers who have both web experience as well as system and application
development experience. We are also using other technologies such as Ajax, Flex
3, Flash, with an extensive API, so if you’re a techi that likes challenges, look
no further.
This opportunity is for full time developers in the Los Angeles area only.
Required Skills:
• At least 4 years development experience in web development using ASP.NET and/or other stacks.
• At least 3 years experience with .NET and C#.
• Must have extensive experience with JavaScript and DHTML
• Understanding of web architecture such as session, cache, cookies, connection pooling, Ajax, etc
• Additional system and/or application development experience is a must
• Experience with database development, SQL, complex SPRs, and optimizations
• Experience with client side pages performance optimizations
• Overall understanding of web applications and web sites behavior
• Know what Web 2.0 is all about
Major plus:
• Experience with Flex and/or Flash as a developer using ActionScript 3.
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with multi locals sites
• Knowledge and experience with SEO
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serves as a strong technical resource for general product development and project management.
• Plans and Executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Accountable for delivery of projects within schedules and timelines.
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
• Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
• Develop, improve, and maintain software development processes
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with and mentoring engineering teams.
• In-depth knowledge and experience building Enterprise and/or web platforms in .NET.
• Proven proficiency with Visual Studio.NET (C#), ASP.NET.
• Experience in development of Web based applications.
• Strong database skills in MySQL (optional)
• Familiarity with object oriented concepts, ASP and web architectures.
• A team player with ability to work both within a team and independently.
• Minimum of 6 years of software development experience required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• BS in engineering/science (Computer Science preferred).
We are currently seeking to hire a Content Manager and looking for individuals with
knowledge of SEO, a background in project management, experience in the web 2.0
world, and strong work ethic.

• 3+ years in detailed task oriented project management

• Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Keyword Research/Analysis
