Most entrepreneurs underestimate the difficulty of running a business and selling products. The initial financials are usually aggressive on the revenue side and naïve on the expense side. While it is true investors like to know that you can become a $20+M company in 3-5 years, not many companies can realistically achieve this. And the early years are usually the most unpredictable.
