					              LIEUTENANT COLONEL ROBERT M. REIST

Lieutenant Colonel Robert M. Reist is a professor of Acquisition Law for Defense
Acquisition Law, Mid-West Region. Colonel Reist received his Bachelor of Arts Degree
form the University of Buffalo and followed with his Juris Doctorate from the University
of Akron School of Law. He entered active duty in the United States Air Force in 1986,
and earned his Masters of Law in Government Procurement in 1993.
Colonel Reist has over 15 years of experience in contract law and has held a variety of
positions as an acquisition attorney. In his prior assignment, Colonel Reist served as
Chief, Acquisition and Fiscal Law, Air Mobility Command where he provided senior
management oversight and policy guidance for attorneys at fourteen Air Force bases
nationwide. In other assignments, he served as program attorney for the development,
production, and sustainment of several major weapon systems. He served as the Staff
Judge Advocate for Standard Systems Group, which is responsible for procuring much of
the Air Force’s Information Technology. Colonel Reist also has gained extensive
litigation experience as a member of both the Air Force Commercial Litigation Division
and the Air Force Alternative Dispute Resolution Team.
