                                        FOR FEBRUARY 23-26, 2005

Dear Parents of a Rising 8th Grade Student,
For the past several years, members of the eighth grade class have traveled to Washington, DC.
Each trip has been filled with many memorable events and educational opportunities. In order to help
you prepare and budget for our field trip, the eighth grade teachers have already made arrangements
and confirmed prices for our 2005 Washington DC field study. In light of the rising diesel and gasoline
prices, we felt it was important for us to confirm prices and ensure our students the most affordable
options. The information within this handout will give you the cost of the field study, the trip itinerary,
the academic guidelines, and the behavioral expectations. We are looking forward to another successful
Washington, DC experience.
