Breakthrough School Improvement was developed to meet the needs of practitioners who want a systemic approach to using research and data to meet school improvement goals. Research-based key actions help school improvement teams achieve greater and faster results in student performance. The Breakthrough Series Breakthrough School Improvement: An Action Guide for Greater and Faster Results explains the key actions of the Breakthrough process using real-world examples and the steps that a school improvement team must take in order to achieve greater and faster results. Resources and Tools explains strategies for gaining stakeholders’ support and skills for using data along with specific activities to successfully implement key actions. The School Improvement Planner, a web-based application, provides templates for organizing school improvement planning information, monitoring progress, and reporting. In addition, survey tools and opinion inventories identify an array of stakeholder perspectives to inform school improvement.
