GANG OF NOTORIOUS AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED WITH ARREST OF TWO PERSONS AND
RECOVERY OF ONE CAR AND 5 M/CYCLES
With the arrest of two notorious auto lifters namely Yudhbir Singh @ Katta and
Sachin @ Rajesh, Police Station Dwarka North, South-West Distt. has solved six cases of
M.V. Theft with recovery of five bikes and one car. These two persons are professional
auto-lifters active in the South West, West and other parts of Delhi.
PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED
1. Yudhbir Singh @ Katta S/o Suresh R/o Dharampura, Najafgarh, New Delhi age
– 20 yrs also involved in FIR No. 113/11 U/s 397/411/34 IPC of PS Rajauri Garden
2. Sachin @ Rajesh S/o Rajender Singh R/o Dharampura, Near Dabas Medical
Store, Najafgarh, New Delhi age – 20 yrs. Both of these are quite active in many a
cases of auto-lifting in the different areas of Delhi.
On the night of 07/10/11 information was received by HC Bijender No. 189/SW
regarding movement of active auto lifters in the area. A team comprising of HC
Bijender, Ct. Prem Prakash No. 831/SW, Ct. Om Prakash No. 839/SW and Ct. Praveen
No. 611/SW was formed by SHO/Dwarka North to track the alleged auto-lifters and
nab them. As per the information a trap was laid near IP University, Sec-17, Dwarka.
The team noticed a Grey colour car (Chevrolet Aveo) without number plate moving
suspiciously in the area of Dwarka North. The car was signaled to stop but despite
the clear signal, first the car slowed down and stopped in front of the barricade. But
as soon as the occupants learnt that the police team is looking for them only, they
tried to flee. However, the staff was active enough to take out the ignition key.
Both the occupants were nabbed and Emergency Officer Sub Inspr Rahul Adhikari
was called on the spot. The car was later found to be stolen with original Regn. No.
DL 9CT 3147 stolen vide FIR No. 187/11 U/s 379 IPC PS Dwarka North.
Both the occupants were interrogated by the team on which the duo disclosed their
involvements in several other cases of auto lifting. The above mentioned team
conducted raids in the area under the close supervision of Insp. Naresh Kumar, SHO
and at their instance 5 more stolen M/Cycles were also recovered from Janta Flats of
Sec- 16 B, Dwarka, New Delhi. The duo has also disclosed about one Amit who was
also involved in many auto thefts who did not join them that day. On the basis of the
interrogation, the under mentioned cases were solved and respective recovery made:

ONE INNOVA CAR SEIZED.
A team of officers of the Crime Branch led by Inspr. Kuldeep Singh
and consisting of ASI Devender Singh, HC Satyawan, HC Charan Singh
and HC Om Parkash under the supervision of ACP Bir Singh and overall
supervision of Addl/DCP Crime Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended a drug
trafficker and have recovered 1 Kg Heroin. The Heroin recovered is
worth Rs. One Crore in the International Market.
Information was received on 07/10/2011 by ASI Devender Singh that
a person involved in trafficking of drugs in Delhi and Ghaziabad would
be coming near Gurudwara, Seelam Pur, Delhi to deliver a consignment
to a contact. A trap was laid and a person was apprehended. He was
identified as Hanif Salman (aged 24 years) r/o Vill. Moijingkongil, Distt.
and PS Thoubal, Manipur. 1 Kg of Heroin was recovered from his
possession. A case under the appropriate sections of the NDPS Act was
Hanif Salman was subjected to intensive interrogation. He disclosed
that he has completed his graduation from a college in Manipur in 2011.
Soon after his graduation he wanted to do some work to support his
father financially but he could not find any job. He was lured into drug
trafficking by an associate in Manipur and become a drug carrier. He
used to get Rs.20,000/- for delivery of each consignment. The heroin
had been brought from Manipur to Delhi for delivering to the contact.
Further investigation of the case is in progress.

consignment of drugs to a contact. A trap was laid and a person was
apprehended. He was identified as Roshan Lal @ Lala (aged 41 years)
s/o Kishan Lal r/o Govind Puram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. 290 Gms of
Heroin was recovered from his possession. A case under the appropriate
sections of the NDPS Act was registered.
Roshan Lal @ Lal was subjected to intensive interrogation. He
disclosed that he has studied up to 10th standard from Govt. School,
Mehrauli. After the death of his father in the year 1990 he started
working as a ward boy in a hospital in Delhi. In the year 1992 he shifted
to Ghaziabad with his family and started plying TSR. During one such
local trip he met Munna r/o Fatehganj, Distt. Bareilly, UP and was
induced into the drug trade. He procured heroin from Munna and sold it
to his customers in Delhi and Ghaziabad.
Further investigation of the case is in progress.
A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. J.S Joon and
consisting of SI Sumer Singh, HC Suresh, HC Surender Kumar, HC
Deepak, Ct. Anil and Ct. Gajender under the supervision of ACP Bir
Singh and overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime Sanjay Bhatia have
apprehended two drug traffickers and have recovered 100 Kg and 400
Gms of Ganja. The ganja recovered is worth 10 Lacs in the International
Information was received on 06/10/2011 by Ct. Anil Kumar that two
drug traffickers involved in trafficking of Ganja in Delhi would be coming
at Okhla in a Innova Car to deliver a consignment to a contact. A trap
was laid and on specific information a Innova Car
was intercepted. Two persons were apprehended. They were identified
as i) Veer Bahadur @ Lal Bahadur @ Vishal (aged 22 years) s/o Preetam
Yadav r/o Noida, U.P. & permanent resident of Bihar and ii) Jamshed
(aged 37 years) s/o Surji Khan r/o Okhla, Delhi. 100 Kgs 400 Grams of
Ganja was recovered from their possession. The Innova car in which
they were traveling was seized. A case under appropriate sections of
the NDPS Act was registered.
Both the accused persons were subjected to intensive interrogation.
It was revealed that Veer Bahadur came to Delhi four years ago.
Initially he did petty work for his livelihood. But to earn quick money he
got involved in drug trafficking. He procured Ganja from Cuttack and
Angul in Orissa. He sold it in the areas of Delhi and National Capital
Region through his associates.

GRUESOME BLIND MURDER CASE OF A DTC CONDUCTOR WORKED
OUT WITHIN 36 HOURS, MURDERER ARRESTED,WEAPON OF OFFENCE

With the arrest of one Sanjay @ Tota(aged 22yrs) s/o Puran Lal
r/o Vill-Kalsara, Post Office Hathin, Palwal , Haryana, South-West
District Police has worked out a gruesome blind murder case of a DTC
conductor who was shot dead in front of his house over the issue of not
paying Rs.300. Weapon of offence i.e country made mouser has been
GIST OF THE CASE
Manoj Kumar s/o Sh.Ajit Singh r/o H.No. 140A, Naveen
Palace, Kali Piou, Jharoda Road Najafgarh, New Delhi aged 24 yrs
reported that he has been working as constable in Delhi Police and his
father is a conductor in DTC, who used to return from duty in late
hours at about 10-11 in the night. On 05.10.11 at about 10:45 PM,
some one knocked the door, so he sent his younger brother Vijay to
see and open the door. Then they heard a sound of gun fire. As his
brother Vijay opened the door, he screamed and called him. He
alongwith his mother rushed out side and found that his father was
lying in pool of blood on the ground. He tried to stop the oozing blood
with the help of chunni of his mother but in vain. Immediately his
father was evacuated to CRPF Base Hospital, Jharoda Kalan where
doctor declared him ‘Brought dead’. Bereft of eye witness, the case of
murder was registered on the statement of deceased’s son Manoj at
Police Station Baba Haridass Nagar and investigation was taken up.
Initially the case was totally blind and there was no clue about the
criminal/s involved in this case. A special investigation team
comprising Insp. Rajbir Singh, SHO/BHDNgr, Insp. R.K Meena, HC
Manjeet, Ct. Dinesh, CT. Arun, Ct. Naveen and Ct. Devender was
constituted under the supervision of Sh.Narain Singh, ACP/Najafgarh
for early breakthrough. Local inquiries were conducted by the police to
extract clues about the culprits. With painstaking and relentless,
persistent efforts various pieces of evidence, testimony and information
were linked to solve the intriguing puzzle of this murder. The
investigation was taken up in the right earnest. Discreet inquiry was
conducted and CDR of the deceased’s mobile phone was also obtained
and analyzed thoroughly but tangible results couldn’t emerge.
During investigation, an exhaustive list of ruffians and petty
criminals operating in the area was drawn up. Further a list of recent
jail release criminals was also compiled. The above team also did survey
of the areas adjoining the scene of crime. During this exercise, the
police team managed to unearth some vital clues that a month ago, a
quarrel was ensued over the issue of purchasing a SIM card worth Rs.
300 between the deceased’s son and one Sanjay who is a driver in
school adjacent to the residence of the deceased’s house. The glean
information was got verified, which bore fruits and further evidences
came on record that the suspect namely Sanjay had seen running in
the street by some public persons on the day of incident.
Disappearance from the duty in school from the day of incident led the
police to reach at a logical conclusion and able to zeroed in the
investigation on Sanjay who was working as driver in the school of his
TIP OFF AND OPERATION
A massive manhunt was launched to trace Sanjay@Tota. Several
teams were dispatched to Gurgaon, Bahadurgarh, Isharheri Haryana
and Delhi etc. at his possible hideouts. Magnitude of the case was
severe and feeling of insecurity had prevailed among the residents or in
vicinity, thus the special staff/SWD also roped in for early
breakthrough. Reinforcements were sent to the Palwal Haryana. The
team led by Insp. Rajbir Singh Lamba, SHO/PS BHDNgr got an
information from the reliable sources that the suspect is hiding in the
fields of Surakhpur Village. This impeccable information was further
developed and sources were infiltrated. On 07.10.2011 a tip off was
received that the murderer is in the ‘Khothda(room)’ situated in the
fields of Surakhpur. The dedicated team swiftly laid a trap in and
around Surakhpur fields and in the evening, on the instance of the
informer, the team succeeded in nabbing the accused Sanjay@Tota. On

hoodwink the police by claiming that on the day of incident he was in
his native Village i.e Kalshada for the treatment of his father who is a
handicapped. Police kept quizzing him on this point as the police had
already done a lot of ground work and had sufficient information about
the accused by now, accused finally broke down and confessed his
crime and revealed that he was a good friend of deceased’s son Vijay.
Many a time he had dinner with Vijay at his house in Najafgarh. As the
house of Vijay was near to his working place i.e Colonel Child bloom
Public School, he used to have a snap in his house. Last month Vijay
had requirement of a SIM card , thus he purchased the same for him
for Rs.300 and his father committed to pay the purchased amount.
One day he was going for having service of his motor cycle but owing to
shortage of money he came to the father of Vijay and demanded his Rs.
300. Instead of paying Rs. 300 the deceased(Vijay’s father) leveled
allegations of stealing Rs.1000, which made him envious. The deceased
had even rebuked him before other persons, which further made him
insulted. He nursed the grudge and made him to decide to eliminate
Vijay’s father. First he observed the timing of duty of Vijay’s
father(deceased). On the fateful day, i.e. 05.10.2011, at about 11.00PM
when the deceased was on the way to his house from duty, he chased
him. He was waiting for isolated stretch to execute his nasty/gruesome
plan. He continued chasing him but his luck was not with him and
couldn’t catch the deceased in a isolated stretch. Since he had
determined to take the revenge of his insult, he shot at him when the
deceased was about to enter in his house.

DESPERATE CRIMINAL - AUTO LIFTERS ARRESTED
The staff of Police Station Uttam Nagar, West District has arrested three
desperate criminal/autolifters namely Gagan, Tanjeem @ Danish and Mohd. Ali
@ Poppat and recovered stolen Rs.85,000/- and two motorcycles from their

1. Gagan S/o Late Sh. Sikkandhar Lal R/o B-76, Anand Vihar, Uttam Nagar,
Delhi studied upto 5th class (age 20 years). He worked in a
manufacturing company of stereo at Uttam Nagar. Later on he fell in a
bad company and began to commit crime with his associates.
2. Tanjeem @ Danish S/o Sh. Abdul Hamid R/o G-1/304, Dal Mill Road,
Uttam Nagar, Delhi studied upto 4th class (age 19 years). He sales
vegetables/fruits in the market with his father. Later on he fell in bad
company and began to commit crime with his associates.
3. Mohd. Ali @ Poppat S/o Sh. Mohd Nasir R/o WZ-45, Mahesh Vihar, Uttam
Nagar, Delhi studied upto 1st class (age 19 years). He fell in bad
company and started committing crime.
2. Two Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles No.DL-4S-BC-6440 & DL-9S AE-6493
which were stolen in the area of Uttam Nagar in case FIR Nos.442/11
u/s 379 IPC & 465/11 u/s 379 IPC PS Uttam Nagar.
INCIDENT AND OPERATION
On 7.10.11, HC Praveen No.207/W, CT. Kamal No. 1705/W, and CT. Ankit
No.1670/W were on duty in the evening at wine shop, Village Nawada , Main
Najafgrah road Uttam Nagar Delhi. At about 10 P.M three guys namely Gagan,
Tanjeem @ Danish and Mohd. Ali @ Poppat, picked Rs. 85,000/- from the
pocket of one Narender, aged about 47 yrs. S/o Sh. Thakkur Dass R/o WZ-24,
Prem Nagar Uttam Nagar Delhi who had come to purchase wine from the
above said wine shop. He cried for help. Immediately, H.C Praveen, Ct. Kamal
and Ct. Ankit apprehended all the above three accused who tried to run away
on motor cycle Nos. DL 4S BC 6440 and DL 9S AE 6493 and recovered stolen
Rs,85,000/- from their possession. They had rubbed the registration number of
these motor cycles from the back side number plates which could not be read
easily. On careful inspection of these number plates, the registration numbers
could be identified. They had removed the front number plates of both the
motor cycles. On sustained interrogation and verification of engine and chases
numbers of these pulsar motor cycles, these motor cycles number DL 4S BC
6440 and DL 9S AE 6493 were found to be stolen from the area of P.S Uttam
Nagar vide FIR No. 442/11 U/S 379 IPC and 465/11 U/S 379 IPC, P.S Uttam
Nagar, respectively by the desperate criminals Gagan and Tanjeem @ Danish.
All three accused have been arrested in case FIR No. 480/11 U/S 379/411/34
IPC P.S Uttam Nagar, FIR No. 442/11 U/S 379 IPC & FIR No. 465/11 U/S 379
IPC, both of PS Uttam Nagar. The investigation is on progress to ascertain
their involvements in other crimes.

ALERT PICKET STAFF NABBED AUTO LIFTER AND RECOVERED STOLEN MOTOR
CYCLE AND 3 MOBILE PHONES : 2 CASES OF M.V. THEFT WORKED OUT
Alert picket staff of PS Fatehpur Beri, South District has arrested one auto
lifter namely Akhtar Hussain (22 years) s/o Mohd. Suleman r/o Jhuggi No. C-79/32,
Aram Bagh, Pahadgunj, Delhi and recovered one stolen motor cycle and 3 mobile
On 05.10.11, a picket was set up at Indian Institute of Planning & Management
(IIPM) to keep check on the incidents of snatching and M.V. theft. A police team
consisting of HC Dalbir 411/SD, HC Hassim 97/SD, Ct. Surender 1907 and Ct. Manish
No. 1333/SD was conducting checking of vehicles. On receipt of specific information,
the police party apprehended an auto lifter Akhtar Husain and recovered stolen motor
cycle and 3 mobile phones from his possession.
During interrogation, accused disclosed that he had stolen the motor cycle from
Aya Nagar, Delhi. Further, he disclosed that he had snatched the mobile in the area of
PS Mandir Marg. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 181/11 u/s 356/379 IPC PS Mandir
Marg was registered.

BRUTAL MURDER CASE OF FARM HOUSE GUARD IN VASANT KUNJ WORKED OUT
: ACCUSED ARRESTED AND WEAPON OF OFFENCE AND VEHICLE USED IN CRIME
With the arrest of accused Rakesh @ Sonu (30 years) s/o Ishwar Singh r/o H.
No. 176, Harshroop Colony, Fatehpur Beri, Delhi, staff of PS Vasant Kunj South,
South District has worked out a gruesome murder of a guard committed in the farm
house near ILBS Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
BRIEF FACTS :
On 07.09.11, an information was received at PS Vasant Kunj South vide D.D. No
13A at 6.25 am about injury to one person at Raj Singh Farm House behind ILBS
Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. Immediately, Inspr. Ishwar Singh, SHO/Vasant Kunj
South along with staff reached the spot and found that guard of farm house namely Lal
Badaur r/o Raj Singh Farm House, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi was lying dead in pool of
blood in his room. On the statement of Ram Singh, cousin of deceased r/o Raj Singh
Farm House, a case vide FIR No. 232/11 dated 07.09.11 u/s 302 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms
Act PS Vasant Kunj South was registered and investigation taken up.
In order to apprehend the culprits, a team comprising Inspr. Gagan Bhaskar,
Inspr. Naresh Malik, SIs Jasmohinder, Rajbir, ASI Vijender, HCs Kailash, Prabjit, C.M.
Meena, Cts. Gajanand, Satish, Arvind and Vinod was formed under the supervision of
Inspr. Ishwar Singh, SHO/Vasant Kunj South and Sh. Mohd. Ali, ACP/Vasant Vihar to
develop intelligence and deploy sources to have any clue about the accused persons.
Specific task was given to each member by taking into consideration various aspects of
past life, contacts, activities and relations of the deceased.
During the course of investigation, the complainant Ram Singh showed suspicion
over one Rakesh @ Sonu behind the murder. The team so formed made sincere efforts
and it found that victim had a dispute with suspect and he had attempted to murder the
victim earlier also in the month of February, 2010. Accordingly, raids were conducted at
the house of suspect in Fatehpur Beri but he was found absconding from his house.
On 30.9.11, Inspr. Gagan Bhaskar, ATO/PS Vasant Kunj South received a secret
information that wanted accused Rakesh would come in the area of Fatehpur Beri.
Accordingly, a trap was laid and at 3 pm, accused Rakesh @ Sonu was apprehended.
Initially, accused tried to mislead the police party but on sustained interrogation,
he confessed to have committed the murder of Lal Bahadur. He disclosed that he used
to run a tea stall behind ILBS Hospital and also supplies building material. The deceased
Lal Bahadur who was also running a tea stall used to beat his workers due to which his
workers had left and he had to close his shop. In order to take revenge, he had
attacked on Lal Bahadur with knife while he was sleeping but at the same time Lal
Bahdur woke up and hit him with rod. On his counter attack, accused Rakesh ran out of
the farm house and brought kerosene oil and gas cylinder. At first, he thrown kerosene
oil on Lal Bahadur and later put the gas pipe inside the room of the farm house and set
the same on fire. It resulted in a heavy explosion due to which both had sustained
injuries. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 38/2010 u/s 435/342/307 IPC PS Vasant
Kunj South was registered and he was arrested. Later, he was released on bail. He tried
to settle the matter with Lal Bahadur but he did not agree and on 28.7.11 Lal Bahadur
deposed against him in the court. The court has adjourned the matter for 15.9.11 for
On this, he apprehended that he will get conviction for many years if cross
examination would be held. Hence, his enhanced revenge led him to eliminate Lal
Bahadur before the next date of hearing. He managed to procure a country made pistol
to kill him. He knew that if Lal Bahadur is killed, he would be the prime suspect so he
hatched a conspiracy to kill him. On 01.9.11, as per his plan, he booked two tickets for
Jammu for himself and his brother Sunil. On 03.09.11, he informed his brother that he
has some important work and could not go to Vaishno Devi, Jammu so he should go
with one of his friends. On 05.09.11, his brother came to Delhi with one of his friends
to go to Vaishno Devi, Jammu. On 06.09.11, he dropped both of them at Railway
Station and they left for Jammu. On the same night at around 12 midnight, he went to
the Farm House and killed Lal Bahadur with country made pistol. Later, after disposing
off the weapon and car he went to ISBT and boarded a bus for Jammu. He reached
Katra in the evening of 07.09.11 and met his brother and his friend on the way while
they wore coming back after Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi and told them that his work
got completed so he also came but as he was not feeling well, he would not go to the
temple. He came with them at the hotel and stayed there on 08.09.11. At the time of
check out, he got made bills in his name from 06.09.11 to 08.09.11 on the pretext of
getting claim which he actually wanted to use as alibi.
At the instance of accused, weapon of offence i.e. country made pistol with one
fired and 2 live cartridges and Car No. DL 3CU 5851 (Tata Indica) used in crime
