A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE BIOFUELS CENTER OF NORTH CAROLINA TO CONTINUE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NORTH CAROLINA STRATEGIC PLAN FOR BIOFUELS LEADERSHIP. The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Biofuels Center of North Carolina, Inc., the sum of nine million dollars ($9,000,000) for the 2009-2010 fiscal year and the sum of nine million dollars ($9,000,000) in recurring funds for the 2010-2011 fiscal year to continue the implementation of North Carolina's Strategic Plan for Biofuels Leadership, mandated under S.L. 2006-206 to make North Carolina more energy independent and to develop a new industry sector statewide. SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2009.
