                 Involved in NIDA and NIH funded cross-sectional and longitudinal investigations
                  examining adolescent substance use and cessation, anxiety, risk taking behaviors,
                  distress tolerance, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Primary responsibilities include
                  preparation and writing of IRB applications and study protocols, supervision of
                  undergraduate research assistants, collaboration with principal investigators on study
                  design and measure construction, working with diverse organizations for recruitment
                  purposes, and running participants of all ages in experimental settings which include
                  conducting structured and semi-structured structured clinical interviews. Other
                  responsiblities include identifying and obtaining salient measures for study inclusion,
                  screening participants for study inclusion, scheduling participants, and routinely
                  reviewing work of laboratory members prior to publication in a conference setting.

                  responsibilities included creating and modifying datasets and syntax in SPSS software,
                  identifying and obtaining measures to be incorporated into data collection of
                  participants, running participants in experimental settings, and identifying salient
                  articles on assorted topics relevant to current laboratory investigations. Other
                  responsibilities included aiding in recruitment of participants, reviewing work of
                  laboratory members prior to publication in a conference setting, data entry and
                  validation, and obtaining and citing various media in APA format.

              Research Assistant, Laboratory for Personality, Psychopathology, and Psychotherapy

              Principal Investigator: Kenneth N. Levy, Ph.D.

                 Involved in grant-funded research examining attachment representations, Borderline
                  Personality Disorder, and reflective functioning. Primary responsibilities included
                  transcription of Adult Attachment Interviews with both clinical and non-clinical
                  participants from the Block Study, creating and modifying online questionnaires,
                  obtaining measures to be incorporated into investigations, handling participant
                  concerns and compensating participants for contribution in a timely manner, and
                  assisting with data entry of over 1,000 participants. Other responsibilities included
                  acting as a rater & inter-rater in a meta-analysis investigating use of therapeutic
                  mechanisms for Borderline Personality Disorder, aiding in preparation of IRB
                  materials, obtaining and citing various media in APA format, and attending weekly lab
                  meetings.

                       verbally de-escalating agitated patients while maintaining safety and environmental
                       milieu, working on a one – to – one basis with patients to aid completion of both self
                       and treatment team selected goals, conferencing with and making recommendations
                       to the treatment team concerning individual patients, noting patient progress and
                       completing documentation in a timely manner, and attending monthly educational in-
                       service providing detailed information on specific Axis I and II disorders.
