North Carolina General Assembly Boards and Commissions How can I find out who is on a non-standing committee? The NCGA website posts membership information of legislative and certain statutory committees, commissions, and boards. To quickly find the membership of a particular board, commission, or committee, first click on the 'Committees' link on the left side of the webpage, then click on NonStanding, Interim, and Study Committees under 'BROWSE COMMITTEES BY TYPE'. Boards are listed in alphabetical order by sort names, i.e., shortened names using keywords. You may also find a board by looking under 'FIND COMMITTEE BY NAME', near the top of the Committees webpage. It lists all standing and non-standing committees. Once selected, a board will be shown with its complete name, along with a list of its current non-expired members. If there are no current non-expired members, then the following message will appear: The committees/commissions system shows there are currently no appointments or all appointments have expired. If available, please consult the committee's Web page for current membership. For past membership consult the latest edition of the LegislativeCommissions, Non-Standing Committees, and Interim Studies publication. You may click on the link above or go to the Legislative Library to view a paper copy of the publication mentioned. Joint select committees can also be found in this manner. House or Senate select committees, however, should be found by looking under 'BROWSE COMMITTEES BY TYPE' and clicking on the appropriate link for House Select Committees or Senate Select Committees. Meeting notices for the various boards are provided by the Legislative Services Office and are listed under the 'LEGISLATIVE CALENDAR' on the homepage. A link to the notices may also be found on an individual board's webpage.
