					                       PREPARING TO GET THE BEST
Getting the best in life never comes automatically. There is the necessity of adequate preparation. The more
diligent and wise the preparation of a farmer, the greater will be his harvest all things being equal.
We determine the extent and the magnitude of the miracles we enjoy from God by the kind of preparation
we make. If our preparation is thorough, serious and wise, God will fulfil His part.

Isaiah 59:1,2; Psalm 66:18; Isaiah 55:6-8; Proverbs 28:13; Job 11:13-15; 22:21-30; 1 Peter 3:9-13; Psalm

It is not that God cannot help us but iniquity always creates a barrier between us and God and that deprives
us of His help and mercy (Isaiah 59:1,2; Psalm 66:18).
However repentance and forsaking of every sin will usher in divine pardon, mercy and pave the way for an
outflow of His miracles (Isaiah 55:6-8; Proverbs 28:13).
If we are stretching our hands towards God in order to receive from Him, we need to put iniquity far away
from us and never allow wickedness to dwell in our environment (Job 11:13,14). If we do this, we can surely
come to God with the confidence of faith (Job 11:15; Hebrews 4:14-16). Then the miracles will come forth
and “thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away, and thine age shall be
clearer than the nooday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. And thou shalt be secure
…” (Job 11:16-19).
Abhorrence of evil always leads to the enjoyment of God’s provision, mercy and miracles (1 Peter 3:9-13;
Psalm 34:12-16; Job 22:21-30).

Psalm 123:1,2; 121:1,2; Jeremiah 29:13; Acts 5:15,16; 19:11,12; Mark 5:28,29; Matthew 13:58; 1 Samuel
4:3-11; 1 Kings 18:26-29

The atmosphere of expectancy is the breeding ground for miracles. Our eyes should be fixed upon the Lord
in expectation of the mighty manifestation of His power just as servants look to their masters and maids look
unto their mistresses (Psalm 123:1,2).
Lift up your eyes unto the hills from whence come your help (Psalm 121:1,2). God will always meet us
when we seek Him with earnestness and with our whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13).
Atmosphere of genuine expectancy can only be created in righteousness. Expectancy created in an
atmosphere of iniquity is mere hype and false hope and nothing will happen (1 Samuel 4:3-11; 1 Kings
Faith sets expectancy on fire but doubt is like cold water poured on the burning fire of expectancy. Doubt
kills expectancy and this leads to lack of miracles (Matthew 13:58).
When an atmosphere of expectancy is created, just a touch will bring forth healing, even a falling shadow
will start a train of miracles, all things will be possible (Acts 5:15,16; 19:11,12; Mark 5:28,29).

Genesis 32:24-32; Judges 6:13,14; Mark 5:25-34; 10:46-52; Matthew 15:22-28; 2 Kings 20:1-11.

A person with a full stomach can be indifferent to food no matter how sweet but an hungry individual is very
earnest when it comes to food. Are you hungry for God’s miracles? Are you fed up with mundane living?
Are you determined to put an end to your bondage?
An earnest and passionate individual like Jacob who will not let go without a blessing always experience
miracles (Genesis 32:24-32). A desirous person like Gideon who wants to see the practical demonstration of
God’s power in his own days rather than live in the shadow of history seldom go without experiencing
miracles (Judges 6:13,14).
Be earnest like blind Bartimaeus despite the discouraging actions of the surrounding crowd (Mark 10:46-
52). Be earnest like the woman with the issue of blood not withstanding the social stigma that attaches to
your person as a result of your problem (Mark 5:25-34). Be earnest like the Syrophonecian woman though
you be regarded as an outclass (Matthew 15:22-28). Be earnest like Hezekiah and plead your case for a
miraculous turn around (2 Kings 20:1-11).

Matthew 18:19; Zechariah 10:1; Luke 1:10; Acts 1:14; 4:24; 12:12-15; 21:5; 2 Chronicles 7:13,14; Ezra
“If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of
my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:19).
There is great power in believers’ agreement. If we corporately agree to experience miracles and pray for
miracles, we shall have miracles.
“Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them
showers of rain, to every one grass in the field” (Zechariah 10:1).
Miracles are ours for the asking. The key is in our hands. We can pray down the mighty manifestation of
God’s power (Luke 1:10; Acts 1:14; 4:24; 12:12-15; 21:5; 2 Chronicles 7:13,14; Ezra 8:23).
