The Culinary Arts Institute intends to
develop its facilities in Building L as the
premier culinary program in the state.
•Tenure Track Faculty Line: Re-purpose existing vacant line.
•Culinary Arts Catering Manager: $58,000 one time
•Remodel Building L:
It is the intent of Emergency Services to
evolve to a School of Public and
Professional Services, providing a full suite
of programs for the state of Utah
•Rename unit to “Public and Professional Services” to reflect full
range of programs currently in this unit.
•Tenure Track Faculty Member(ESM): $84,000 – adjunct ratio
•Forensics Lab Manager/Instructor: $66,000 – position lost with
budget cuts
Aviation Science intends to evolve to School and
Institute of Aviation, competing with the largest
programs in higher education and meeting the
unique market needs in this region.
• Tenure Track Faculty Member: $84,000 – adjunct ratio
•Aircraft Replacement: $640,000 – Non-Appropriated
•Feasibility Study for Aviation Science Academic Center –
Non-Appropriated
•Program Coordinator: Non-Appropriated
•Develop AAS in Airframe & Powerplant.
•Faculty member will be needed
•Develop Jet Aircraft Certification
The School of Applied Technology and Construction
intends to continue supplying technicians and
construction experts, expanding role of the Clyde
Institute of Construction Management.
•BS in Construction Management currently ready for consideration
by Regents.
•Mechatronics Faculty member – Re-purpose existing faculty line
•BS in Geomatics in planning stages
•Construction Lab Manager: $58,000
•Equipment Inspection and Repair: $20,000 base
The School of Computing & Engineering
(pending) intends to become the center for
“Computing” needs in Utah Valley and offer
select engineering programs.
•School needs an “official” name.
•BS in Computer Engineering: On hold with Regents
•Digital Media Tenure Track Faculty: $84,000 – adjunct
ratio
Summary
Using the functionality provided by our new structure,
we intend to “prepare students for successful careers or
advanced study in a dynamic, technology-based, global
environment, utilizing an engaged learning environment to
provide the needed technical knowledge, skills, and scholarship
that enable students to excel in their chosen profession.”
