To Whom It May Concern:

Please find attached my resume showing my education, experience, and background.

I will be graduating from Penn State in December 2009 with a B.A in both Broadcast Journalism
and Psychology from Penn State’s main campus at University Park. My current GPA in
communications is a 3.30 on a 4.00 scale and my GPA at Delaware County Community College
where I voluntarily took summer classes in 2006 and 2007 is a 4.00 on a 4.00 scale.

I interned for one semester as an editor for Bleacher Report, an online sports website where fan-
journalists create and critique high quality sports analysis. When asked, I also wrote articles for
the website. Bleacher Report has given thousands of users a platform to share their views on
sports, and it was my responsibility to make sure their articles had accurate facts and were well-
written, to match the style of the website.

I am currently a writer for Valley Magazine, which is Penn State’s premiere life and style
magazine. It is my responsibility to pitch stories for the upcoming issue and then write an article
regarding the topic designated to me. I also promote the magazine on campus and in local hot

I am also an intern with the public relations department for Penn State’s Intercollegiate Athletics
where I work “behind the scenes” and communicate daily with customers via phone and e-mail
to provide assistance, resolve problems, and enhance their experience with Penn State
Intercollegiate Athletics and the Nittany Lion Club.

During the 2009 summer I will be working for the features department at China Daily, an
English newspaper in Beijing. China Daily has an average daily circulation of more than
300,000 in approximately 150 countries and regions. According to the paper’s website, two-
thirds of their worldwide readers are government officials, think-tanks and decision makers from
multinational corporations.

I work hard, understanding and appreciating that communications is a field based on deadlines
and detail. I truly find both communications a challenging and rewarding career and believe my
education and experience thus far offers me a great advantage.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
