  Dear Parks and Recreation Customer,
  We are pleased, in this economic climate, to be able to continue to
  operate 20 of 26 community centers in the traditional way throughout
  2011 and to keep all except one center open (Rainier Beach is closed for                 General Info
  construction until the spring of 2013). Five centers (Alki, Ballard, Green
  Lake, Laurelhurst, and Queen Anne) are operating under a reduced-

  The cost to run our centers far exceeds the revenue that comes in from
  center programs, which means they require support from the City’s

  At the request of the City Council, Parks and Recreation has been
  working with a citizen group to examine alternative ways of providing

  methods of management, staffing and fund raising, and partnerships.

                                                 preparation course for kindergarten. The emphasis is on social, academic, and motor

Rent the pool for your next party! Have fun, fun, fun in your own private setting! Enjoy
the pool with your friends and then rent the lobby to continue the party for a small
additional charge. Use the noodles and floats to play in the shallow end of the pool, or
pass the swim test to swim in the deep end and use the diving boards and rope swing!

Party prices begin at $181 for one hour of pool time.

The large meeting rooms at all centers are great spots for banquets, weddings, receptions, graduations, birthday parties, and other

All centers have small rooms available for classes, company and group
meetings, services, and other events.

Full - sized gymnasiums are available for your sporting and non - sporting
needs at all of the centers. Gyms are wonderful for large parties, too! Non -
sport gymnasium rentals are $110 per hour.

There is a one - time booking fee for all rentals.

A damage deposit is taken for large events. The deposit is fully refundable so
long as no damage has occurred and the space is left clean.

well as additional insurance and service permit that must be obtained by the

will be charged a staffing fee. The number of staff needed for your event is
determined by the attendance and the nature of your event. Any rental with
alcohol requires a minimum of two staff.
