                  Types of assessment: formative and
                     summative including quizzes (mcqs) and
                     discussion boards
                  Reason: convenience, requirement, courses
                     fully online, ease of grading, ability to have
                     asynchronous discussions, ability to keep a
                     record of discussions
                  Effectiveness: good to moderate but time,
                     tedious
