RUNNER INFORMATION: The Law Enforcement Torch Run® to benefit Special Olympics Colorado is not a race. All funds
benefit over 8,500 Special Olympics Athletes in Colorado.

We encourage all Law Enforcement employees to participate in the Final Leg as the torch is lit for Opening Ceremonies of the

I hereby release and hold harmless Special Olympics Colorado and Special Olympics International, their officers and
employees, and affiliated organizers of this event from claims or damages of any nature, whether or not apparent,
resulting from, or arising out of, any claimed injury to myself resulting in any claim for damages that I, my
administrators, my heir or other representatives may have, I have read and understand the above release and hold
harmless agreement.

                     2008 LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN® REGISTRATION FORM
 The 2008 Law Enforcement Torch Run® Numerous Torch Run legs are held throughout the state, between the dates
           st            th
 of May 1 and May 30 , excluding Memorial Day weekend. We encourage everyone to participate for any distance
 you are able to run, walk or bike, so please call your Regional Coordinator listed below, your agency contact or Special
 Olympics Colorado Torch Run Liaison to sign up. The Torch Run is not a race but is a relay run in which the law
 enforcement community comes together from all over the state to carry the Flame of Hope for Special Olympics
 Colorado to raise funds and awareness for athletes with intellectual disabilities. The Law Enforcement Torch Run®
 raised over $180,000 in 2007 for more than 8,500 Colorado Special Olympic athletes who benefit from year-round
 sports training and competition programs.

 Please return your $25.00 registration fee with this completed form to your regional coordinator or agency
 contact. The $25 registration fee can be a combination of one or more donations. Your $25 registration fee includes
 one Torch Run T-shirt. Donations of $100 or more will receive a LETR sweatshirt, as well as the Torch Run T-shirt.

 Pledges and Recognition Many officers raise additional money by collecting pledges and donations from families,
 friends, businesses and co-workers. Pledge levels will be recognized through commemorative Law Enforcement Torch
 Run items including certificates, caps and shirts. We appreciate your support through whatever means you are able.
 Supporters may pledge per mile or contribute a flat donation. Turn pledges into your Regional Coordinator or Agency
 Contact.

 The Final Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® is the culmination of the statewide torch run, and all law

 enforcement employees are invited to participate. On Saturday, May 31 , Special Olympics Colorado’s Summer
 Games Opening Ceremonies will be held at UNC in Greeley in which a processional of lights and sirens with the law
 enforcement community run the torch in and light the cauldron for the games to begin. If you haven’t ever been a part
 of this event, we encourage you to make this year the first- it’s an experience you won’t soon forget. Contact your
 Regional Coordinator or Agency Contact.
