the Catholic community as a sister, a brother or a priest?
Those paths are not the only calling that God places in us.
Some of us serve the community in our marriage while
some serve the community as an unprofessed single per-
son. Remember, it is all about relationships.
True joy comes in living out the “dream” that God
planted in you when you were conceived. People like Fr.
Bob and Sr. Mary Ann know the joy of living their vocation,
their unique call from God. Many of you who have been
married a long time know the true joy of being true to your
marriage vows and bringing life to your spouse and your
family. Many of you have given life to your friends, co-
workers, nieces and nephews by your dedication to them
as a dynamic single person. Today, pray for those who are
searching for their call. Ask God to help them find it and
those closest to them support it.
At Holy Cross Catholic School, the teachers will be
talking to the children about vocations and making them
aware of the fact that God put them on earth for a purpose.
They will learn that discovering and living that purpose will
bring them a deep joy and satisfaction that no material
thing or power or status can give.
Today I want to challenge the older members of our
parish to seek out a young person in your life and talk
about the richness that comes with finding and living the
call that God has placed on your life. If you do, two peo-
ple’s lives will be better, yours and that child’s.
Today, Julia Blicharz and Abbey Guilliat will represent
Holy Cross Catholic at the K of C Regional Spelling Bee
hosted by the Knights of Columbus in Marine City. You are
welcome to attend this intense competition. It begins at
3:00 p.m.. We are proud of them!
I pray that you see God’s blessings in your life this
week. They are there, you just have to recognize them.
                                         Have a good week.
