INTRODUCTION
There is no doubt that the way we used to live is unsustainable. Mass production is the general
rule, which in its turn has resulted in a growing awareness of the environment. The word “eco”
has become something of a buzzword lately but whatever the prevailing trend, there is no doubt
that ecological sensitive design has become a permanent part of our lives. There is simply no
other way. We nowadays consider where the food we buy is coming from. Is the food local?
Organic? Were the strawberries shipped or air freighted, or grown nearby? These are questions
we have been encouraged to ask ourselves, and rightly so.
At Duo we also encourage you to think where the furniture you sleep or sit on every day come
from? Who made it? What is it made from? And what effect do they have on our environment?
We choose to go back to the days when goods were produced locally by blacksmiths, wood
workers and weavers, these skilled craftsmen used readily available local resources and made
goods intended to last at least one lifetime.
For our new 2010 collection we have looked carefully to every design we make and to all the
suppliers we work with, to make sure our Duo Quality Outdoor Furniture design product are
practical, not only for outdoor but also fabulous for indoor, of best quality and made of ethically
sourced sustainable materials. Duo design & products are also affordable and you can keep
home for a lifetime.
