CHAPTER NORTHERN COLORADO CHAPTER HI-LITES -- "TIME TO SHINE" Please list your top three hi-lites for chapter year 2005-2006 (chapter accomplishments) and what you attribute their success to. October 2005 Joint ARMA/SRMA Conference – success because both organizations networked to plan the conference and bring both groups together at the conference to gain a better understanding of each other’s profession. To assist in starting an ARMA chapter in Grand Junction, Paula Sutton, ARMA Region Manager, and our founding charter member, Molly Davis, arranged to present a program on records management and details about starting an ARMA chapter. It was successful because of the education we provided to the professionals that attended the meeting. Our Spring ‘06 Seminar was successful because we learned how do a tabletop exercise as a Records Disaster Training tool, to hear about recovery from a major records disaster at the Town Hall in Granby, CO and after the flood at the Colorado State University Library. CHAPTER LO-LITES -- "LESSONS LEARNED" Please list chapter lo-lites, avenues sought to correct and possible insights for avoidance or handling better. The Chapter lost it’s website/newsletter editor when the member took a job out of state. The website was also impacted because of the location of the server the information was stored on and the software used to produce the content. A Chapter member volunteered to research solving these two problems and was successful in securing a more efficient web hosting service for the website. The Chapter Treasurer has volunteered to do the newsletter for the upcoming chapter year. Several Chapter members volunteered to form a Membership Committee to recruit and welcome new members. Unfortunately, the Committee did not coalesce; The incoming Chapter President will chair the committee and enthusiastically promote ARMA. Raising Your ARMA Steaks in Omaha!
