                                                              Consistory
From Pastor: On this first day of the week, we assemble to hear the blessed Gospel of which Paul wrote in I Corinthians 15:1-4,
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye
stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I
delivered unto first of all that which also I received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was
buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." What a precious gospel God has revealed to us! Let us
respond this way, "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Cor. 15:57).
Baptism: Brad Butler appeared before the Consistory to request baptism for their daughter, Ella Kaye, and David De Boer
appeared before the Consistory to request baptism for their daughter, Paige Elizabeth. The Consistory approved these requests
and scheduled baptism for Sunday morning, April 18.
Pastor: Pastor and his family plan to leave tomorrow morning to spend a week in Iowa for vacation. Pastor Eriks can be reached
on his cell phone -- the number is in the directory. Next Sunday Prof. Hanko and Prof. Cammenga will be preaching for us.
Consistory: The next regular Consistory meeting was moved from April 1 to April 15.
Catechism: The Essentials catechism class and Belgic Confession class are finished for the season. The other classes have one
more lesson to complete. Because of spring break this week and pastor's vacation, those catechism classes will be held on
Monday, April 19.
Myanmar Report: A report of the Delegation to Singapore and Myanmar from November & December 2009 was emailed out to
the church email list this past week. There are copies available on the table in the back of church if you would like one.
Family Visitation: The spring family visitation schedule will be available by the bulletins today. The Consistory chose for its
theme: "Thy Word is a Lamp unto My Feet," based on Psalm 119:105-120. The Consistory asks that you try to keep your
scheduled time. If you have to switch, please arrange your own and inform one of the elders who will be visiting you.
                                                           Church Family
Thank You: We would like to express our gratitude to the congregation for the many cards, prayers, and expressions of
sympathy when my mother passed away. We have surely felt the communion of the saints. We are also comforted in knowing
that mom's struggles here are over and now lives and worships perfectly with our Lord. Dick and Janie Venema
