VP/ DIRECTOR OF FINANCE POSITION SUMMARY Voxiva, Inc. (www.voxiva.net), a leading global service provider of mobile centric information solutions that combine the reach and ubiquity of the mobile phone with an internet based platform, seeks a strong VP/ Director of Finance to provide financial leadership to drive value throughout the organization in the areas of business management, financial analysis, business operations, and strategic planning. The VP/ Director of Finance (the level will be commensurate with skills) must be a seasoned financial manager with demonstrated success in overseeing the financial affairs of a technology company through substantial growth and change. He/she must possess not only strong technical skills, but also be a well-rounded business manager with strategic and operational skills. In partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and the executive management team, the VP/ Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in expanding the financial organization to support the growth of this multi-faceted global technology company. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES • Work closely with the CEO to build the annual operating plan and budget. • Provide company and management accounting information at a departmental level providing a detailed analysis of variances. • Work closely with the management team to forecast short- and medium-term business results. • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop business plans and client proposals that align with the financial objectives of the company. • Oversee treasury function with a particular focus on managing financial instruments. • Manage the corporate finance function which includes maintenance of the capital stock ledger, dividends, annual reporting and employee stock options. • Manage financial communications to the Company’s Board of Directors and shareholders and act as secretary to the Audit & Finance Committee. • Manager the corporate Controller and accounting teams including responsibility for revenue accounting. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA • No less than 10 years experience as senior financial or accounting professional with oversight of finance, controllership, treasury, accounting, tax, audit, investor relations, and MIS. • MBA and/or CPA. • Practical working knowledge of GAAP. • Proven ability to build, manage, and lead an effective and efficient finance organization and put in place the processes and procedures necessary to manage the financial operations of a fast-growing technology company. • Significant experience with international transactions and managing international subsidiaries is a prerequisite. • Proven success with U.S. government procurement, regulations and contract compliance. • Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to the CEO and the Board of Directors • Experience interacting and negotiating with members of the investment community, a plus. • Significant experience with formulating policies, plans, and objectives related to financial analysis, control and reporting, accounting, costing, treasury, systems, and audit matters. • Proven experience in implementing a complex global IT finance solution a plus PERSONAL QUALITIES • An entrepreneurial, creative, insightful, collaborative, self-motivated, “hands on” leader, with great integrity. • Results-oriented individual, who is highly analytical and detailed, with the ability to synthesize complex business issues and dynamics into simply understood terms and an accompanying range of solutions, with relevant cost benefits. • A flexible, tenacious and high energy individual who can deal with a fluid work environment and organizational structure, adapt to new situations and be open and responsive to new ideas. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express ideas with confidence, clarity, sensitivity and commitment to any audience, internal or external. • A non-bureaucratic, collegial individual, willing to operate with a lean support group and get involved at a detailed level, if necessary, to move the business forward. • Strong leadership skills and experience, specifically as team player in a matrix driven organization • Must possess strong cross cultural communication and mediation skills. • Willingness and ability to travel internationally • Be motivated by working for a technical solution company that makes a positive global impact on health and public safety issues • Fluency in Spanish and/or French a plus.
