Copycat Magazine Project
For this magazine cover you are going to use yourself, a friend/family member, or school faculty member
as the subject. REMEMBER – you are creating everything from scratch; you may NOT copy and paste the
magazine logo or name onto your cover.
Part 1 – Select a magazine cover to “copycat”. Make sure you print your cover off and label it so you will
know where to begin. (www.magazine.com )
Part 2 – Get photographs. You will need to use photos that you have taken or scanned for this project.
Use of internet photos will result in a deduction of points.
Part 3 – Write appropriate article teasers. Remember article teasers should relate to your subject and

Part 5 – Print final copy in color on cardstock. You must turn in final copy, scoring guide, and the magazine
copy that you referred to.
