August 10th          Preparing for Disaster—Emergency Management Training 8:30am-12pm
        Register by August 5th or questions to: Denise Bordeman at 704-537-0550. Training is designed to
acquaint you with local resources for Emergency Preparedness and see what help you may need with
facility plans. Speakers include: County EMS and Resource Panel, State EMS Representative , Regional
Disaster Coordinator, MTAC. 2 Hours of ACH CEU’s. Who attends? Professionals working with older,
disabled adults, administrators, Regional Corporate professionals.

      Come join in the fun! We will attend both the Water Park and Roller Coaster portion of the park.
You may stay later than 6pm if you make arrangements with your SSP. If you are interested in

       Board of Trustees of the Hearing Loss Association of NC (HLA-NC) will hold its Annual Meet-
ing at Heritage Greens Senior Living, 801 Meadowood Street, Greensboro NC 27409. All HLAA mem-
bers in NC and hearing-care professionals are encourage to attend.
Agenda includes: planning session for Oct. 2012 NC Walk4Hearing, lunch, training session courtesy of
Disability Rights NC, election of new HLA-NC board officers for 2011-2012. Special guests
Include: Ronnie Adler, HLA Association of America; Walk4Hearing Manager; Dr Adele Evans,
Walk4Hearing Chairperson; Gabrielle Martino, Outreach Specialist for Disability Rights NC. CART
