2011 OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Barton Clough Primary School
Road Safety
Many thanks to all of you who have been using the path. We know the weather will get worse
and we’re working on drainage solutions. We are also very aware of parking problems at the
entrance to the path. Cars that park across the pavement are blocking the only safe path
and therefore endangering the safety of pedestrians. PLEASE park on the car park or Audley
Avenue. UNIFORM REMINDER
MANY CHILDREN ARE
CURRENTLY WEARING TRAINERS
RATHER THAN SCHOOL SHOES.
OUR POLICY STATES CHILDREN
SHOULD WEAR BLACK SHOES
NOT TRAINERS. WEARING
TRAINERS EVERYDAY IS NOT
ADVISABLE FOR HEALTH
REASONS.
Safeguarding
We are currently experiencing a high number of adults in school at the beginning and end of
the day. Whist we don’t want to discourage communication between teachers and parents,
having a safe and secure site for children is very important.
If you pick up children from Infants and Juniors then we are happy for children in Years 3-6 to
leave school via the Infant door. Please write to the class teacher so that we can record
which children will do this.
