BASF Canada, a leader in the global markets of chemical manufacturing and distribution has an immediate opportunity in the Tax and Treasury unit for a contributing team player in Mississauga, Ontario for a Senior Tax Financial Analyst Reporting to the Treasurer and Taxation Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to: o Comply with all governmental and regulatory tax reporting and compliance requirements. This will include for example preparation of the Canadian corporate tax returns of BASF group companies to ensure compliance as well as minimization of Canadian tax liabilities. This will also include the preparation of annual transfer pricing documentation and analysis as required internally and externally by government authorities. Additionally, the candidate will be assisting in the annual preparation of the R&D tax credit refund claims. o Comply with internal and external tax reporting to meet shareholder requirements. This includes the preparation of book tax calculations and collection and analysis of information for internal, shareholder and government auditors. o Assist in ensuring that innovative, proactive and responsible financial savings and minimization strategies are implemented. This will include conducting tax research and providing information on various tax planning and other projects. Qualifications The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree with a business major, and five years experience in finance and accounting with three years of Canadian corporate tax experience.
