Overview
• Originally created in 1984 and updated through 2002, REPiS contains information on operating – as well as planned – renewable energy units. • REPiS covers renewable energy technologies including biomass, geothermal, hydroelectric, photovoltaics, solar thermal, and wind. • The database contains information on nearly 115,000 MW of renewable energy generation capacity connected to the utility grid, including 2,725 MW that went online 2000 through 2002.
Renewable Capacity Charts
• These capacity charts, which are derived from the August 2003 edition of the REPiS Database (data verified through 2002), represent installed and planned capacity for each of the renewable technologies.
