*APR is Annual Percentage Rate. Normal credit criteria apply. Rates for approved loans are based on the applicant’s credit history. Stated “rates as low as” apply to well-qualified applicants. Loan term, loan to value (LTV), and/or down payment,
for example, may vary based upon your credit history. Other restrictions may apply and rates are subject to change without notice. Talk to a loan representative for details. APRs for auto loans are effective through December 31, 2009. • Consult your tax
advisor regarding the deductibility of interest on a HELOC. The credit union will pay normal closing costs on a HELOC which include the following fees: title search, recording fee, release of lien, flood determination, and credit report. Additional fees, such
as any necessary title insurance, appraisal, survey, and attorney fees, will be the responsibility of the member. This is not limited to promotional periods. Normal credit criteria apply. Texas residents: The principal loan amount at the time the loan is made
must not exceed an amount that, when added to the principal balances of all other liens against your home, is more than 80% of the fair market value of your home. Maximum credit line for Texas residents cannot exceed 50% of the value of the property.
Texas residents can only have one home equity loan or HELOC in a 12-month period. South Carolina residents: Maximum loan amount of 90% of appraised value. Minimum credit limit of $4,000. South Carolina residents are limited to establishing one
home equity loan or home equity line of credit at one time. MINIMUM PAYMENT EXAMPLE: If you made only the minimum monthly payment and took no other credit advances, it would take 10 years, 10 months to pay off a credit advance of $10,000 at
an annual percentage rate of 5.00%. During that period, you would make 129 payments of $100.00 and one final payment of $65.12. HELOC rates are tied to the Wall Street Journal Prime Rate (currently 3.25%) and are subject to change as Prime changes.

CREDIT UNIONS CELEBRATE THEIR
Credit unions across the United States are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. The first credit union in our country was
started in 1909. On April 15, 1909, the Massachusetts Credit Union Act became law, and was the foundation for similar acts
passed in other states. Today, more than 177 million people worldwide belong to a credit union!
Credit unions have always been about “People Helping People,” and the annual International Credit Union Day is a way
to celebrate credit unions in the United States and all around the world. On October 15th, Houston Federal Credit Union
will join other credit unions and their members to celebrate International Credit Union Day.
Credit unions make life better for millions of people every day by saving them money, providing education, and helping
them reach their financial goals. That’s what makes credit unions unique.
Join us in celebrating International Credit Union Day and the 100th anniversary of credit unions in our country by
stopping by any HFCU office to enjoy refreshments.
