enjoyable, and often the most influential, of their lives. We hope that
our students today will be able to reminisce as fondly of their school
years as our alumni.

                                   Remember When.....
In 1997, senior James Pittman created a work of art in Mrs. Beverly Wilson’s art class.
Named “Chevrolet”, the sculpture found a permanent home in the University High
School art room and has become somewhat of a cherished legend at U-High. James
happily reunited with Chevrolet at “their” tenth class reunion on October 13, 2007.
Chevrolet usually greets students and guests outside the art room door, although he
occasionally observes the students at work in the classroom.
Chevrolet’s attire gravitates from Cub Gear to native clothing in keeping with the
students’ art studies, wherever his mood and his artistic sentiments take him. During
the holiday season, he wears a lighted outfit donated to Chevrolet by Benjy Davis ’02 so
that he could be more “festive”. Benjy actually wore this outfit during his senior year.
Mrs. Wilson proudly announces that Chevrolet has recently received a promotion to
   Associate Professor.

The Class of 1997 celebrated our 10-year reunion on
Oct 13, 2007. We started with a tour of the U-High
campus before lunch at the Chimes. U-High has
made many wonderful upgrades in recent years. It
was great to revisit the origin of so many memories
with most of our classmates present.

We finished the reunion with a party at Chelsea’s
under the overpass. The private room was perfect for
visiting with old friends and making new friendships
with their husbands and wives.

                                                                                        Alumni at Lab School Tour

Our classmates traveled from all corners of the country, and everyone was really happy
to be there. We are all looking forward to the next reunion.
