International Journal of
Microstructure and
Materials Properties
Scope of the Journal
The IJMMP publishes contributions on various mechanical, electric, magnetic,
optical, properties of metal, ceramic and polymeric materials in terms of the crystal
structure and microstructure. Papers treat all aspects of materials, i.e., their
selection, characterisation and evaluation in the phase of decision-making in design
and manufacturing of a new product. They cover the field of product, design,
improvement of material properties in various production processes. Attention is
also focused on materials from the viewpoint of physical metallurgy. New
technologies, new processes and related new materials, mathematical and physical
modelling of various processes optimisation and control of processes in terms of
microstructural and macroscopic material properties are included. Testing and
characterisation of mechanical and physical properties determined with standard
and non-standard methods are also addressed.
Subject coverage:
• Improvement of materials properties • Quenching and distortion of steels
