                           The GVSU Alumni Association, Career Services and Athletics cordially invite members of your

                                                     3rd Annual Fitness & Wellness Expo

                           Campus Recreation would like to invite you to participate in our 3 rd Annual Fitness
                           & Wellness Expo at Grand Valley State University. The purpose of this event is to
                           expose the campus community to resources that would reinforce the importance
                           of a healthy lifestyle. This event features on-campus departments, student

                            Mandatory Budget Meeting for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)

                           This meeting is the final confirmation for RSOs that have funding for the 2006-07
                           fiscal year. It is also required for any RSO that plans to request funding for the
                           2007-08 fiscal year. RSOs that do not participate in this meeting and do not
                           submit an Appropriations Contract are subject to the suspension of funding
                           privileges. Organizations that do not currently receive funding or do not intend to
                           request funding for the next fiscal year are NOT required to attend.

                           *2006-07 Appropriations Contracts are due from all funded organizations
                           *RSOs will be assigned to a Campus Life Board (CLB) and will meet the senators
                           chairing each CLB
                           *The status of current annual appropriations and the Student Life Fund Reserve
                           Account will be reviewed
                           *The budget request process will be outlined for the 2007-08 fiscal year

                                                 GVSU Faculty Recognition Banquet

                           Do you know a GVSU professor or staff member that goes above and beyond for
                           their job? Well, recognize their great work and nominate him/her! The Pahellenic
                           Council along with RHA will host Grand Valley’s first Faculty Recognition Banquet
                           Saturday, November 4, 2006. Twenty Faculty/Staff will be recognized and
                           awarded for their great efforts at the Meadows Restaurant during a Luncheon
                           11:00am-2:00pm. The event is open to all of campus. Nomination applications
                           can be found on the student life website or down in the SOC. Applications are due

                           Do you like $50? Name the SOC Supply Station and have a chance to be the
                           person to win a $50 gift card to the University Book Store! We are taking different
                           creative titles for our supply station. The person or organization who has the most
                           imaginative name will receive the gift card. Please turn in all submissions to the
                           SOC front desk. Due Date: Tuesday, October 17th by 5 pm.
