Dr. Cottrell makes it to
the top of Mount Kilimanjaro
High atop Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro at 19,340 feet AMSL
(At Mean Sea Level) with an edition of The Bridge Weekly
Sho-Case is Dr. Walter Cottrell, DVM, former Newbury,
VT resident and veterinarian who moved from the area
in 2004. He is now the state wildlife veterinarian for the
Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Dr. Cottrell climbed the mountain, one of the highest in
the world, as a personal challenge and as a fundraiser
for one of his favorite organizations, the Semper Fi Fund.
This fund provides financial support to injured and criti-
cally ill members of the US Armed Forces and their fami-
lies. He asks that readers visit the the Semper Fi Fund
website at semperfifund.org and consider making a dona-
tion on behalf of the nation’s wounded warriors.
