In order to provide optimum flexibility, reduce liability and to assist parents in keeping
children safe, my policy for weather related and emergency situations will be as follows:

I will automatically close in the event the Federal Government or Fort Meade
should close. No exceptions. I will remain open when Anne Arundel County Schools
closed, unless conditions get worse and the Federal Government or Fort Meade
closes. Please note, however, that on inclement weather days (when the daycare is
open) parents need to leave their places of employment earlier to ensure a safe
but prompt arrival, for daycare pick-up.

**If you are working from home or not required to be at work during inclement
weather your children should remain with you. Should your employer close early, I
expect that your children will be picked up early. If you are not required to be at
work during inclement weather, I expect your child will not be in care – if it is not
safe for you to be out, clearly your children should not be out either.

This policy is for the protection of the children and the daycare. This also will
assist emergency personnel who need the roads free of congestion and traffic. If
the conditions are severe, the less people out and about the better.

(Please bear in mind that as adults we often have to make the hard decisions. Employers, many
times, do not understand when schools and daycares close due to inclement weather. SAFETY,
that’s it in a nutshell!)
Yes, it’s a pain, and most time inconvenient - but it is most times necessary.
