                          AR Sights

Summary: AR Sights is a company that deals w/ virtual and
augmented reality. AR is the implementation of digital technology
into the "real" world. Not only can you browse Google Earth
online, but you can open up any Google Earth "landmark" on your
desktop and I'm not referring to your computer.

                           AudioPal

Summary: This is an online service which allows you to record
audio then post it on your site/blog, very similar to Recordr. What
I like so much about AP is that no registration is required; all you
have to do is record your audio and then put in an email address
so you can get a link to your embed code.

                           Boinx TV

Summary: Boinx TV is a news broadcasting solution for Mac and
the primary reason why I purchased the Mac Heist bundle. There
are vast amounts of themes that you can choose from: sports,
interview, traditional newscast, etc. which make it very easy to get
the look you are going for. Plus, you can customize any one of their
templates to make it look exactly how you want.

                              Dirpy

Summary: Dirpy is a new (beta) site that allows users to upload
YouTube videos and extract the audio. This is ideal when all you
need is that hard to find song/blurb/quote that can only be found
on YouTube. I'm not sure what kind of permission rights come into
play, but anything "common craft" should be just fine.

What makes Dirpy so good is how easy it is to use. Just upload a
YouTube video (via a URL), adjust your settings and file size, and
click download to Mp3.

                         Jam Studio

Summary: Jam Studio is a new site that is for creating/mixing music.
I like to think of it as an online version to Garageband. While it
might not have all the bells & whistles that Garageband does, it has
a very nice look to it and is a lot of fun for mixing music.

Another nice feature about JS is that you do not need an account to
create music. If you want to save/share your music you will need to
register but just to have fun using the site nothing is required.

Summary: Kinemac is a real-time animation software for OS X and
rather user friendly. After watching the tutorial and playing around
w/ it for about 5-10 minutes, you’ll be able to create an animation
for your site/blog.

Summary: Me and My Movie is a site that has been getting quite a
bit of press lately and for good reason. It's a place where
kids/students can create movies, share online, and then comment
on them. There is so much that you can do on here from: creating
mash-ups, watching videos, creating videos, etc. that you can spend
all day looking around.

Summary: This is such a great site for creating multi-media rich web
pages that are interactive w/in the "My World" community.
Everything must pass an approval process before getting posted
online so it abides by CIPA/COPPA compliance.

                              Myna

Summary: Myna has to be one of the coolest online applications
I've seen in a long time. This is a music/sound editor very very
similar to Garageband. In fact, I would use this over Audacity any
time. PC users can rejoice that they now can create music similar to
Garageband. All you have to do is get started is to create an
account, click on the app you want to use (audio editor) and start
experimenting w/ all types of music.

                      One True Media

Summary: This is one of the better video mash-up sites in the sense
that it is very easy to use and offers some very nice tools/effects for
the user. I would have to compare OTM as a cross between
iMovie and Pulp Motion. It is similar in iMovie on how you have to
edit a video clip, add your music and then select your transitions
and effects. Although, the finished product looks like something Pulp
Motion would create which gives it that very smooth/polished look.

show transitions. What makes PS such a great site to use is how

Summary: It is a place where users can publish YouTube videos
onto a 3-Dimensional cube.

I can see this being used in a class (w/ appropriate guidelines)
where students pick videos of a "central" theme and then link those
videos together via the cube. For example, lets say students were
doing a science project on plants, they can select videos of certain
topics that have to do w/ plants and post them to the cube (ex,
photosynthesis, chlorophyll, etc).
