Discover how to find your Swedish roots through Swedish research!
The SwedGenTour 2011 will feature presentations and demonstrations by Swedish family
history experts detailing the use of the many resources for Swedish genealogical and historical
research. See demonstrations of Swedish genealogical online sites and databases as well as
Swedish genealogical and emigration CDs. There will also be opportunities for individual
research assistance through One-on-One Sessions.

SwedGenTour 2011 representatives will be touring the United States
for the seventh year and will include a stop in Denver. Have you hit a
brick wall in your Swedish research or don't know where to begin? This
group of internationally recognized Swedish genealogists will teach
and assist Swedish-Americans in finding their roots and researching their Swedish
    heritage.
Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping, cadastral, and land
registration authority, will also be participating. Lantmäteriet
manages the Swedish cadastral system and is responsible
for providing present-day and historical geographic maps and data. Their free website
allows for searching of historical maps from Lantmäteriet’s digital archive and includes
Swedish maps dating from the 17th-20th centuries.
