Notice of proposed grant easement for electrical kiosk transformer

Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers on Level 10 of the Administration Building, 41 Burelli Street, Wollongong. North Beach Bather’s Pavilion Draft Wollongong Local Environment Plan (LEP) 2009 Council will be considering reports and making decisions on the draft Wollongong LEP 2009 over the coming months. Prior to the June Council meeting, Council will hold a Public Briefing and Information Session at the Wollongong Town Hall. • Tuesday, 23 June, 2pm-4.30pm: specific rezoning proposals An agenda for the briefing can be found on Council’s website. Residents are invited to read the Council report on the draft LEP and recommendations available on the website on the Thursday prior to the meeting and attend the Briefings. The transformer is required for the redevelopment of the Thirroul Plaza in accordance with DA-2005/1393. Lot 102 is classified Community land under the Local Government Act 1993 and Section 46 of that Act permits Council to grant easements over Community land for this purpose. Chapter 6 Part 2 of the Act requires Council to advertise the proposal as it is located on Community land. Submissions should be in writing quoting Council’s reference number 05.02.04.087.
